October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and the Breast Center will offer discounted cash prices for mammograms and Automated Breast Ultrasound Screening services,” said Michelle Rios, manager of the CMHS Breast Center. She added, “It is important that we support self-care and mammograms are the best way to detect early signs of breast cancer. Our office is taking careful measures to ensure our patients are safe during the pandemic. We are also excited to announce the addition of the new 3Dimensions Mammography System and the Affirm biopsy attachment. We look forward to providing our community with excellent care.”

If you haven’t had a mammogram in a while, find the time to make an appointment now! Breast cancer is more prevalent than you may realize. It’s the most common cancer in American women after skin cancer and the second leading cause of cancer death in women after lung cancer, according to the American Cancer Society. One in eight women are at risk for breast cancer. The sooner you get screened and diagnosed, the sooner you can begin treatment.
